Lucille “Lucy” Edna Ross, age 94 of Midland, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 8th, 1926 in Flint and was the daughter of the late Russell O. and F.E. Beamish.

Lucy worked as a housekeeper and baker. She would sell her baked goods at the Farmers Market. Lucy married the love of her life in 1945. The late Eithel “Teet” Ross and Lucy were married for over 54 years. Lucy had a love for camping, cooking, playing cards, bingo, making quilts, but loved country music most of all. Lucy would love to listen to her son, Mike play and would follow him wherever he played.

Lucy had the biggest heart and found great joy in making food for any function involving family/friends. She was most famous for her noodles, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, and especially her lazy daisy cake.

Lucy is survived by her children, Carol Price and companion Bud Martin, Lyle Ross and companion Cheryl Trudell, Mike Ross and wife Peggy Sue Ross, Gloria Brethour and companion Miles Foune; sister Darlene Beach. Also surviving is her 15 grandkids, 40 great grandkids, and 20 great-great grandkids. Lucy was very proud of all her grandkids and loved them so much.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Sleeper; grandsons, Robert Brethour and Ross Wayne Brethour; siblings, Robert Beamish, George Beamish, Russell Beamish, Emma Schutt, Nina Johnson, Rosalind Goodall, and Juanita McNeal. Also preceding her in death are her sons in-law, Ross Brethour, Walter Sleeper, and Leslie “Les” Price.
