Lucille Gaudino Ventura, 80, of 1187 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, passed away on Aug. 15, 2013 in YaleNew HavenHospital. She was the widow of George J. Ventura. Also known as “Cookie” and “Lulu”, Mrs. Ventura was born in New Haven on Dec. 6, 1932, daughter of the late Ralph and Lucille Simeone Gaudino. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a cashier at Pathmark and Shop Rite Supermarkets. A very giving person, she enjoyed being around people, playing bingo and going to the casino. She is survived by one son, George M. Ventura of Branford; two daughters, Elizabeth (John) DePaolo and Diane (Myles) Fischer, both of West Haven; one brother, Ralph (Rita) Gaudino of New Haven; a sister, Angelina (Michael) Manganella of West Haven; and 8 grandchildren, Craig, Nicole, Andrea, Matthew, Shaun, Nicholas, Jordan and Kim. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Gaudino and a sister, Ann Shirley Viglione.
