Lucille A. Dickman, 67, of Fishhook, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Timberpoint Health Care Center in Camp Point.

She was born Sept. 13, 1945, in Quincy, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Klingele Veith. She married Royce “Butch” Dickman on Feb. 6, 1965, in Mt. Sterling, and he survives.

She is also survived by three daughters, Angie (husband, Steve) Berger of Manor, TX, Sheryl (husband, David) Session of Meredosia, Janeen (husband, Ronnie) Ham of Chambersburg; one son, Matthew Dickman of Indianapolis; daughter-in-law and son-in-law Beth and Jeff Shade of Jacksonville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three sisters, Jane, Betty, and Julia Veith, all of Mt. Sterling.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; one sister, Rosemary Moorman; and one brother, Joe Veith.

Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, sister, and a friend to everyone. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her family and grandchildren. She also cherished the time she spent sitting on her deck watching the wildlife with her family.

She graduated from Brown County High School in Mt. Sterling. She then attended school at Gem City Business College in Quincy, and Lincoln Land College in Springfield. Lucille was employed in the offices of St. Mary’s Hospital in Quincy, St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Beardstown Hospital and Long Term Care in Beardstown, Glasrock DME of Jacksonville, and retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois.
