Lucile Violet Thies, 77, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Monday February 7, 2005. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. Her hobbies included crocheting, she made the most beautiful afghans, quilting, swimming, she loved to cook and enjoyed horsed and horseback riding. Above all, she loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Violet Peters, her son Steven Thies in 1996 and a grandson Christopher in 2002. Lucile is survived by her loving family, her husband of 57 years, Harold of the family home in Los Lunas; her daughter Tamara Shelton and her husband Tom of California; her son Phillip Thies and his wife Julia of Minnesota; her daughter in law Joan of Colorado; her grandchildren Kenny, Andy, Stevie, James, Aaron, and Emma, and her great granddaughter Cassandra.
