Luciano O. Martins, 62, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015, at Mass. General Hospital in Boston, surrounded by family, due to a short battle with Cancer. Born on January 19, 1953 in Terceira, Azores, he was the son of the late Mateus and Noemia Martins from Portugal. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Maria Martins, of Plymouth, his two daughters; Jennifer and Christine, both of Plymouth, and his only grand daughter, who he had so much love for, Kara Lansing. He also leaves behind his four brothers and three sisters: Eduardo Martins of Canada, Fernando Martins of Plymouth, Norberto Martins of Portugal, Carlos Martins of Plymouth, The late Mercedes Reis, of Plymouth, Noemia Martins, of Louisiana, and Berta Mendes, of Plymouth. He also leaves behind all his loving In-Laws, Nieces, Nephews.. one which he was very fond of; Carlos Borges, of Swansea. Carlos was his nephew but he considered him as a brother. He also leaves behind lots of cousins, and many wonderful friends. Luciano has worked as an O.R. attendant at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed welding, drinking his morning coffee at the Plymouth Harbor with his wife, going to the casino with his younger daughter, watching Portuguese soccer, and enjoying the summer, every year, with his loving Canadian family.Luciano was a comedian.. always joking and making people laugh and smile.. He was a great man with a heart of gold.. he will never be forgotten.
