It is with unspeakable sorrow that we share this very somber announcement with our family and friends that Luba Kushnir Zakoworotny, 86, ofOxford, CT. passed away on Dec. 10, 2012 in The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was the wife of the late John (Ivan) Zakoworotny. She was born in Yaniv, Ukraine on Aug. 10, 1926, daughter of the late Mykhilo and Karolina Kushnir. She is survived by her daughter, Bohdonna Sendich of Milford; two sons, Igor (Cindy) Zakoworotny of Woodbridge and John (Christine) Zakoworotny of Dix Hills, N.Y.; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Halusia with her family; her niece, Marijka, nephew Anton with their families in Yaniv, down feathers be laid on this path that you must walk.
