Lu Ann Sturms 67, of Grafton passed away on December 29, 2021 at the Taylor Care Health Care Center, and was met by her special Granny at the Gates of Heaven. She was born in Grafton on May 9, 1954, daughter of the late Clare Kenneth and Shirley Setler Sturms.
Lu Ann was a graduate of Grafton High School, class of 1972 and Fairmont State Business College. She worked in the legal system her entire career until retirement helping others as a Legal Aid for the West Virginia Legal Assistance in Morgantown. Lu Ann enjoyed working with activities at the Anna Jarvis Birthplace, the Taylor County Historical Society and was a member of the Flemington CEOS and FBLA. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and reading. She loved her family and her dogs especially her special dog and love of her life, Peanut.
Lu Ann is survived by her brother David Lynn Sturms, sister, Beverly Wolverton, (Chip) and special friend Olive Rickettes, (Carson), all of Grafton; several nieces, Jillian Wolverton (Chris), Bridgeport, Rayanna Campbell, Grafton, Misty Sturms, Huntington, nephews; Jacob Sturms, (Dani), Ohio, and Jason Sturms, Grafton.
In addition to her parents, Lu Ann is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Lee Sturms.
