Lt. Col. (Ret.) William Matthew “Bill” Belobrajdic, 73, of Belton passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 18, 2021 after a short illness.
Bill was born on July 26, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas to Matthew and Louise (Kulash) Belobrajdic. He grew up in Kansas City and after high school enrolled at the University of Kansas. Mr. Belodrajdic joined the US Army in 1969 where he became a helicopter pilot and later was deployed to Vietnam. While in Vietnam Bill received numerous awards including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal with 1 oak leaf cluster, Air Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm among others.
Mr. Belobrajdic retired after 21 years in the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. After retirement, he opened Totally Graphic which he owned and operated until he again retired in 2009. Bill married Debbie Patty in 1997 in Bell County and they were married for 24 years before he passed away. Bill attended Foundation United Methodist Church in Temple.
Mr. Belobrajdic was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Emily Sammon. He is survived by his wife Debbie of Belton; sons Dawson “D.J.” Belobrajdic of Belton and Matthew Hayden Belobrajdic of Los Alamos, NM; step sons Nathan Sammon and Joshua Sammon of Belton; daughter Cassie Lenehan of Greenville, SC; sister Mattie Fowler of Las Angelas, CA; and 11 grandchildren.
