Eddie Carl Abney, Lt. Col, USAF, Ret., 63, of Crestview, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 29, 2009. Mr. Abney had previously been a resident of Palm Harbor, Florida.
Born in Rumsey, Kentucky, Eddie was raised and educated in Tokyo, Oklahoma City and was a 1963 graduate of Choctawhatchee High School. After High School, Mr. Abney attended and graduated from Florida State University. He later entered the U. S. Air Force and retired as a Lt.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Nannette M. Abney of Crestview, his parents; Kenneth Lee Abney and Kathryn Abney of Fort Walton Beach, his step-son; Alan Piklor and his wife Amy, of Coral Springs, FL, 2 grandchildren; Jake and Claire, and his sister; Sheila Thomson of Colorado Springs, CO.
