Loyal E. Barnes, 98, previously a resident of the Clarksburg Towers and more recently of the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility (Clarksburg), passed away February 12, 2011 at the Facility. He was born August 24, 1912, the son of the late Cass D. and Daisy Evans Barnes. Loyal was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He served in the Philippines during World War II.
