Louise Tate, August 7, 1923 – February 28, 2011.
Louise S. Tate, 87, of Temple, formerly of Killeen, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at her home in Temple, Texas. Mrs. Tate was born August 7, 1923, in Stephenville, TX, the daughter of Francis Clyde Snow and Rosa Leona Frieble Snow. She married James Latham Tate on October 2, 1942. She was a Patron of Killeen Vive Les Arts, a member of Central Christian Church in Killeen, and a member of the East Bell County Genealogical Society. She is remembered for her work in Brownies and Girl Scouts of America, her dedication to First Christian Church of Killeen and as a volunteer at Killeen Public Library. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant sister, and two brothers. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Dr. Janet Tate and Hugh Hackney of Dallas, Sharon and Mel McKey of Lake Jackson, and Rosa and Bill McKinney of Arlington; five grandchildren, Tate Hackney, Jonathon Mayor, Lee Anne McKinney, Hunter Hackney, and Matt McKinney; and five great grandchildren.
