Louise Ann (Goodman) Strefling, 58, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2006, at her home following a lengthy illness.Louise was born November 1, 1947 in Niles, Michigan to Sam and Betty L. (Banks) Goodman. She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1965 and was employed for a time as a receptionist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and later with the Beach Insurance Agency.
Louise married Karl Strefling on August 29, 1970 in Buchanan at the Faith United Methodist Church. Upon the arrival of children, she became a full time homemaker.Louise enjoyed spending time with her family; especially watching her granddaughter Lauren grow. She also had a great love for the many dear friends she made throughout her lifetime. Louise became involved with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) many years ago. This program enriched her life and she gave inspiration to the many people she came in contact with. Mom loved her flower garden and watching the flowers come to life with each passing year.
Louise is survived by her husband Karl; daughter, Marcy (Randy) Petroshus of Gobles; sons, Rodney of Three Oaks; Todd of Galien and Ted (Josi) of Galien, granddaughter, Lauren Strefling; mother, Betty Goodman of Buchanan and a sister, Ramona Thacker of Trinity, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her father Sam Goodman.
