HAMPTON, CT – LOUISE (JARVIS) OLIVER, 79, passed away peacefully on February 14th, due to complications from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Born in Chillicothe, Texas, she was the seventh of nine children of George Henry and Lillah (Moore) Jarvis. Growing up in and around Lawton, Oklahoma, Louise early on recognized the value of education, and considered it both her profession and personal mission. She was a graduate of the Oklahoma College for Women, and received her Masters of Library Science at the University of Rhode Island. She taught in schools in Virginia and Connecticut, culminating her career at Plainfield High School as librarian and administrator.
