Louise Katherine Ervin, 84, a resident of Gooding, passed away at the North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 (Feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross).
Louise was born on June 3, 1938 in Roberts, Idaho, the daughter of John and Marceline Becker. She was raised and educated in Blackfoot at St. Margaret’s Catholic School. The family moved to Gooding in 1952, when she was in the 8th grade. She graduated from Gooding High School in 1956.
Louise married Lawrence Ray Ervin on August 5, 1956 in Gooding at St.
Louise is survived by: her husband – Lawrence Ervin; three sons – Dan (Denise) Ervin, Mike (Betty) Ervin and David (Cindy) Ervin; one daughter – Theresa (Les) Patterson; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by: sister-in-law – Ann Becker; brother – Conrad Becker; brother – Raymond (Laura) Becker; brother – John (Gloria) Becker; sister – Marcella (Mike) Martinchick; sister – Viola Becker; brother – James (Sondra) Becker; sister – Margene (Dallas) Willis; brother – Kenneth (Lynnette) Becker; brother – Michael (Lisa) Becker; sister – Loretta (Randy) Kremer; brother – Patrick (Lynn) Becker; and brother – Nicholas (Karla) Becker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents – John and Marceline Becker; one brother – Edwin Becker; two sister-in-law’s – Abbie Becker and Kathy Becker; and one grandchild – Cheresa.
The family would like to extend many thanks to Dr. Mark Spencer, those at North Canyon Medical Center, DeSano and all who helped during this time.
