LOUISE DONIVAN
Louise Donivan, 91, of Carlisle, passed peacefully at home on Friday, December 2, 2016.
Born July 26, 1925 in Upper Tract, WV, she was a daughter of the late Zebulon K. and Myrtle A. (Barger) Judy. She was the widow of Royal S. Donivan, who died May 4, 2011.
Mrs. Donivan was a graduate of the Tri-County Beauty Academy, Somerset. She operated her own beauty shop and had also worked as a beautician at the Loyalton Nursing Home and the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was a Democratic Committee person for North Middleton Township and had worked the polls for many years.
Louise was a member of St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Kingstown.
She was preceded in death by four sisters: Mary E. Snyder, Nellie D. Judy, Catherine Van Pelt and Phoebe Grass and two brothers: James and Gale Judy.
Surviving are a son: Lynford K. ( and wife Sandy) Donivan and a daughter: Cathy S. Waters, all of Carlisle; a grand daughter: Rebekah A. Waters of Carlisle and a sister: Virginia Judy of Mattie, Pa.
The family extends a warm and special thank you to all the wonderful caregivers and her ex son-in-law Matt Waters for helping with her care that allowed her to remain at home.
