Louise Ann Kannenberg Hambright, 71, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Monday morning, August 12, 2013, in her son’s residence in the presence of her family. Louise was born June 30, 1942 in Caldonia, Wisconsin, to William and Roberta (Sires) Kannenberg. She married Maurice Henry Hambright May 23, 1964, in Dowagiac, Michigan. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2005. Louise was a kind and giving person. She always thought more of giving to others than she did for herself.
She liked spending time with her family and was never angry at anyone. She loved baseball and NASCAR, and even predicted the latest winner. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, sending cards or making phone calls. Louise liked watching fireworks. She traveled cross-county in a semi. She liked yard sales and still has something from every yard sale she’s ever been to. Louise created more memories than could possibly be listed here. Louise will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Sarah (Grover) Nelson of Bristol; one son, Mark (April) Hambright of Bristol; four grandchildren, Wayne Bennett of Elkhart, Devin McNeal and Keelan McNeal of Bristol and Bridget Merritt of Bristol; two sisters, Jane (Jim) Adkins of Edwardsburg, Karen (Phil) Raymond of Buchanan; three brothers, Tom Kannenberg of Three Rivers, John (Mary) Kannenberg of Niles, Richard Kannenberg of Cassopolis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
