Louis was born August 26, 1949 in Chula Vista, California, the son of Gene Francis LaVon and Wanda May Eidelman.
He was raised and educated in southern California and graduated from San Jose City College.
He married Helene Therese RunningBear on August 2, 1989 in Porterville, California.
Louis is survived by: his wife – Helene Therese RunningBear; one daughter – Jessica RunningBear of Lakefield, Minnesota; one sister – Edith LaVone of Porterville, California; and one grandchild – Ashlynn Rayne Garner.
He was preceded in death by his father – Gene Francis LaVon and his mother – Wanda May Eidelman.
