Louis “Louie” Joseph Rozankovich, 72, of Kalamazoo, passed away August 27, 2019. He was born July 15, 1947 in Kalamazoo to the late Joseph and Doris (Jones) Rozankovich.
Louie will be remembered as a kind and generous soul. He was always friendly and good-natured, and greeted you with a warm smile. He had a strong interest in sports beginning in childhood; he was a participant, coach, and lifelong spectator. Louie loved baseball and IndyCar Racing.
He also played both slow pitch softball and hockey into his adulthood. Louie cherished his time growing up at his family cottage at Selkirk Lake. He was employed at North American Aluminum for 35 years before his retirement in 2012. He and his wife, Marilyn, are current members of Westwood Christian Reformed Church.
Louie leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Marilyn (Hartsell) Rozankovich of Kalamazoo; step-children, Brad (Debbie) DeBoer of Mattawan and Casandra (Gerard) DeBoer/Grappie of Ft. Myers, Florida; step-grandchildren, Nathan and Colin DeBoer; siblings, Norma Roelof Kalamazoo, Bob (Sue) Rozankovich of Kalamazoo, Dorleen Ryder of Portage, and Joe (Jan) Rozankovich of Kalamazoo; as well as several nephews and nieces.
