Louis R. Luzzi, 77, of Leisure Village, Lakewood, NJ, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Philadelphia, PA, Brick, NJ, and South Bound Brook, NJ, before moving to Lakewood 17 years ago.
Louis was a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He later retired from the New Jersey National Guard.
Louis worked for Western Electric Company, Inc., Kearny, NJ, for more than 20 years then for parent company AT&T, Somerset, NJ, where he was a Building Manager for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents Romeo and Louise (nee Faia) Luzzi.
Louis is survived by his three children, Steven Luzzi of Summit, NJ, Caryn Heffelfinger and her husband Waine of Toms River, NJ, Ryan Luzzi of Lakewood, NJ, and two grandchildren, Thomas Heffelfinger and Catherine Luzzi. He is also survived by his friend and former wife, Rita Maier.
Louis was an avid fisherman and he especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
