BEVILACQUA, SR.1944~2021Louis James (“Lou Bev”), died Monday, February 8, 2021. Lou was a proud graduate of St. Tommy More High School in Philadelphia. He was a Master plumber and avid golfer. He could often be found on the links along with his brothers, his son and his granddaughters. He won many tournaments throughout his career and was most proud of winning the Bob Hope Tournament for the Blind in 1967 receiving the first place trophy from Mr. Hope himself. Another love was eating. There was nothing he liked more than pasta and meatballs. The day before his passing, he enjoyed a visit from a few of his granddaughters and a meatball sandwich. Both brought a wonderful smile to his face. Lou was also a devout Catholic. He loved daily mass and saying the rosary.Husband of the late Concetta (“Connie”) Bevilacqua. He was predeceased by his parents Sara Wilent Bevilacqua and Louis M. Bevilacqua. and by his brother WilliamFather of Dr. Louis James (Debbie) Bevilacqua, Jr. and Lori (the late Steven) Dafilou. Grandfather of Sarah (Dr. Elliot) Canfield-Dafilou, Rachael (Jake) Huckestein, Emily (Joseph) Selvaggio, Amanda (Michael) Pommerer and Lindsey Bevilacqua. Great-Grandfather of Ryleigh Huckestein.Louis is also survived by his siblings: Margaret (Bill Eastright) Rossi, Richard (Vicki) Bevilacqua, Nancy (Joseph) DiCroce, Wayne (Loretta) Bevilacqua, Joseph Bevilacqua and Paul Bevilacqua.
