Louie passed away April 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family in Portage. He was born October 26, 1924 in Fitzhugh, Arkansas, the son of Luther L. and Bertha Jean Dunn. Louie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII in the South Pacific and moved to Kalamazoo where he met his wife, Mildred June Dunn and married in March, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings. Louie is survived by his wife; four children, Steve and wife Cindy Dunn of Winchester, Kansas, Suzanne and husband Doug Yoder of Austin, Texas, Jeff and wife Flo Dunn of Portage and Rhonda Dunn Geiger of Portage; eleven grandchildren, Melissa Lewis, Annee Dunn, Nichola Bartels, Kenzie Sanchez, Clint Yoder, Sarah Nissen, Josh Geiger, Lauren Bromley, Bill Lemke, Jen Langley and Shawn Rogers; ten great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Herman Dunn, Jack Stone and Gene Stone.
Louie worked as a paper maker in Kalamazoo, serving as chief steward in the United Paper Makers Union until he retired in 1986. He was a member of Lighthouse Community Church. Louie loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed his time fishing and hunting with his brothers and his sons.
