Louis J. “LJ” Kirsteatter, 57, of Bloomington, formerly of Peru, passed away unexpectedly in an accident near Bainbridge, GA, on October 8, 2015.
He was the beloved son of Sylvia and the late Louis Kirsteatter Sr., of Peru.
In his earlier years, he was an Eagle Scout in Troop 1, Peru, IL, and a 1976 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School. He loved music, dabbled in photography and poetry, and helped his mother with gardening.
He is survived by his mother Sylvia Kirsteatter of Peru; his brothers Gary (Maureen) Kirsteatter of Yorktown, VA and James Kirsteatter of Peru; his niece Kelly (Derek) Favret of Chesapeake Beach, MD; his great nephew Colin Favret of Chesapeake Beach, MD; his aunt Marilynn Hurley of Peru; his uncle Lynn (Margaret) Kirsteatter of Conover, WI; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis J. Kirsteatter Sr.; his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John (Anna) Meglan and Mr. & Mrs. Paul Kirsteatter; and his uncle and aunt Edward and Lois Athey.
