Mr. Louis F. (Ludvik) Cizmazia , passed away March 10, 2009 at Bridgeport Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer in which he fought to the very end. He continued to bring smiles to all of us, those who were blessed to have known him will all agree that he was a man of great “pride, strength and courage” and giving it his best to the very end.
Lou was born October 5, 1941 in Slovenia, the son Agnes Poglic Cizmazija of Slovenia and the late Petru Cizmazija. He resided in Bridgeport for many years, before becoming a longtime Milford resident. Louis was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was a retired tool and die maker from Gen-El-Mec having worked there for over 30 years. He was an avid N.Y. Yankee and Giants fan and loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years Lora Cizmazia of Milford, four daughters, five sons, two son-in-laws, three daughter-in-laws and ten grandchildren whom he adored. He is also survived by two brothers, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother.
