Louis Edward VanOrden, Jr. 52, passed away on January 26, 2014, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Louis was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on April 7, 1961 to his parents, Louis Edward VanOrden, Sr. and Patricia Ann (Crane) VanOrden. Louis was a 1979 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He had resided for the past two decades in Houston, Texas with his life mate J.R. Rivera.

Louis worked in Payable Accounting at David Weekly Homes. Louis was an accomplished author, with two books to his credit under the pen name of Lance C. Trudeau. The first was a very serious book called, “From the Depths of Hell”. The second book was a comedy called, “The Nuts on My Family Tree”. Louis loved to cook and bake and liked nothing more than surprising friends and family with little gifts. He enjoyed movies … the gorier the better. He had a wonderful sense of humor and brought laughs to all of those around him.

Louis is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by two sisters, Cindy (Ron) Howard and Betty (Mike) Knox, both of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, along with his nephews, Calvin and Kyle Knox. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Dale, Paul, Larry, Roy B., Bob (Barbara) Van Orden, Dick (Jenny) Farris, Chuck (Theresa) Farris, Ed (Marty) Farris, Jean (Paul) Marcak, Linda (Ray) Durand, Doris Mumy, Joyce (Guy) Rolston ; special aunt, Jeanne Nagle and great aunt, Ruby Clymer.

He will be greatly missed by all.
