Louis Douglas Yeager Born July 3, 1953 Died November 8, 2015 Louis Douglas Yeager passed away on Sunday, November 08, 2015 in his home, completing his earthly journey as he wanted: independent, proud, stubborn and never wanting to be a burden to others. He loved spending time with his children and spoiling them much to their mother’s dismay. Louie was predeceased by his parents, Louis George and Jimmy Perry Yeager.
He is survived by his daughter, Jimmie LeeAnn; son, Andrew Luke; sister, Linda Keir (Randy); nephews Joshua Kier and Samuel Keir (Nicole); great niece, Jimmie Pepper; former wife, Terri Grandy Mainey (John). Louie was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas graduating from Alamo Heights High School in 1972 where he was selected as a 1971 all-state offensive football player. He went on to play football for Stephen F. Austin State University. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1976 with a degree in Criminal Justice. Louie joined the Arlington City Police after college graduation.
He was hired as an agent with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission in 1979 working until 1997 when he retired due to injuries caused in the line of duty. Louie moved to North Carolina in 2004 to be nearer to his children. He was a faithful member of Faith Baptist church in Youngsville and will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.
