PAOLINOPaolino, Louis D. November 25, 1924 – January 18, 2021, 96 years of age of Bryn Mawr, Fort Lauderdale and Ocean City passed away January 18th after a brief illness. Born to the late Joseph and Mary (Dadario) of Philadelphia, PA, Louis is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Nancy (Del Vecchio), his sister Jeanette Cairone and as a devoted father to Joseph (Donna), Louis Jr., Dr. Robert (Jody), Guy (Christine), Lisa (Michael Marcoe) and Matthew (Lori). Lisa his only daughter died in 2014. Louis was blessed with many grandchildren, Danielle(Bret Wolsky), Nicole(Joe Eckelkamp), Gina (Matthew Crehan), Joseph (Tiffany), Donna (Michael Collins), Louis III, Michelle (Caleb), Cade, Siena, Leo, Dr. Christopher, Rachael, Nicholas, Amanda, Gabrielle(Patrick Reimel), Michael Marcoe, Emily, Margaux, Matthew and Thomas Paolino and great grandchildren Madison, Bret, Eva, Liam, Matt, Joe, Caleb, Annabelle, Emma, Joe, Jack, Mike, Sophia, William, Joey, Nicholas, Frank, & Isabella. Louis fought in World War II on the USS Samuel Moore as part of the Pacific fleet. He was also a Lightweight Champion Golden Gloves boxer in Philadelphia. Mr. Paolino lead a successful contracting company, Joseph Paolino & Sons, and had a large presence in Philadelphia with projects that included the Walt Whitman Bridge, Philadelphia International Airport, the Patco Speed line as well as numerous projects throughout the Philadelphia region. Louis will be most remembered by his love for his family, always being a presence in all their lives, his summers in Ocean City crabbing in the bay, and his retired life in Fort Lauderdale where he spent many days deep sea fishing. Louis was the true definition of “a man of his word”, put family above all else and devoutly dedicated his life to his wife Nancy who he adored and the family that they raised together.
