Louis Merrill “Chip” Beem III, age 62, died peacefully in his sleep October 20, 2021, with his wife Robbin and his German Shephard Cheyenne, at his side.
Chip was born in St Petersburg, Florida, to the late Louis Merrill Beem, Jr., and Marjorie Renick Beem, both originally from Columbus, Ohio. An outgoing and athletic person, Chip graduated from Dunedin High School where he excelled in tennis and soccer. He attended Florida State University for two years.
Professionally, Chip worked with his dad at Beam Lamp Company for many years. Even upon the closing of the shop, Chip continued to serve his long-time customers. In 2003 Chip became employed with the City of Clearwater.
Chip was an avid outdoorsman, and had a great love of God, family, and country. He was always helping friends and neighbors with home improvements projects as he was skilled at every aspect- electrical, carpentry, you name it! And rarely did he leave before the job was finished.
Chip was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marge and Merrill, and he is survived by his amazing and dedicated wife, Robbin Russell-Beem and her mother Jean his sister; Melanie Dunn, and husband Robert, of Morganton, North Carolina; his sister, Melissa Beem, and her partner, Michael Schroder, of Inverness, Florida; brother-in-law, Richard L Russell (Karen) and nieces and nephews, of Richfield, Ohio; step-daughter, Jennifer Kremzar (Stanley) and seven grandchildren, who dearly love their Papa, of Whittier, North Carolina.
