Louis Bass 87 of Macedonia, IL., passed away on March 29, 2011 in Union Hospital
Terre Haute. He was born and raised in near Chicago, IL., to Albert Nicholas Bass
and Clara Natt Bass. He was a WWII Veteran and received the purple heart and
silver star. He was a Plasterer by trade and had been a supervisor of maintanence
of Bremen High School in Midlothian, IL., for 20 years when he retired. He moved
to Macedonia, IL.
He like gardening and growing roses. He married Shirley Mae Griffin in 1950 and
she preceded him death on March 6, 2011.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jean Nicholas and Garrett
Nicholas, a sister Gertrude, two daughters Sharon Bass and Karen Nerche and two
grand children David Jilbert and Angela Jilbert.
He is surived by his children; Micheal Jilbert of Dalton, IL., David Jilbert of Macedonia,
IL., Martin & Susan Bass of Grant Park, IL., Fredrick Bass of Daghlen, IL., Carol &
Michael Coonce of Blanford, IN., and Tammy & John Alkawass of Midlothian, IL. Also,
12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
