Lotus Kay Schopp, 84, of Washington, IL, formerly of East Peoria, IL passed away at 10:45 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her residence at Morningside Senior Living Community in Washington. She was born on August 1, 1932 in Morton, IL to Alpheus J. and Faun Star (Kollman) Swibold.
Surviving are her two sons Michael (Shadahn) Schopp of Alexandria, LA and Stuart (Wilma) Schopp of Smithville, TX and her two brothers Richard (Gretchen) Swibold of Canton, CT and Jack (Barbara) Swibold of Pekin, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She attended Morton schools and Bradley University. She worked at CILCO in merchandise accounting for 8 A½ years. She last worked at the Order of St. Francis Mother House for retired nuns in Germantown Hills serving as a nursing assistant. After serving for 34 years, she retired to remodel her house.
