DURHAM-Lorraine Lee Pennell, born August 17, 1927 in Henderson, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.
A lifelong resident of Durham, NC, she was predeceased by her parents, Garland and Annie Lee, and her siblings Mary Shelton, Marie Barnes, Anne Hoke, Bill Lee, and Faison Perry. She is survived by her four children, Carol Dodson (Keith), Cindy Dean (Joe), Thomas Pennell (Patty), and Connie Steigerwald (Joe); seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A lover of travel, gardening, and spending time with her family, Lorraine will be dearly missed.
