Lorraine P. Bailey, 81, of 107 Vance Dr., Bristol, beloved wife of Robert F. Bailey, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Bristol Hospital.
She was born December 20, 1927 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Mikolajczak. A resident of Bristol since 1956, she was employed at the former ACME Rivet Company for many years until her retirement. Lorraine was a member of the Bristol Senior Center, having been very involved with ceramics. She was also involved with the Exchange Club, was an avid fan of the UCONN Women’s Basketball Team, and a member of St.
Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by her daughter, Beverly Foote and her husband, James of Bristol; her son, Bob Bailey, Jr. and his wife, Sophie of Bristol; her brother, Russell Mikolajczak and his wife, Lyda of Chicago, IL; her sister-in-law, Allison Bailey of Norwalk; her eight grandchildren, Jackie, Dan, Samantha, Sarah, Dolores, Melissa, Debbie, and Christine; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Allison Burritt and Dolores Patterson and her two brothers, Walter Mikolajczak and Frank Mikolajczak.
