Lorraine M. Connolly, of Leominster, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2013. She was the wife of Donald E. Connolly.
Lorraine was born on May 27, 1931 in Saugus, Massachusetts; she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Madeleine P. Lynch. When she was a child, she and her family moved to Lowell, Massachusetts. Lorraine attended Lowell public schools and graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1950.
Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her husband as well as craft-making and knitting gifts for her family and friends.
Mrs. Connolly’s life-time employment was within the banking industry, working for various financial institutions in the Leominster area before retiring from Bank of America.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers: Camille L. Lynch and his wife Mary of Londonderry, NH; George P. Lynch and his wife Rita, of Venice, FL; a sister, Madeleine F. Donnelly and her husband Thomas of Chelmsford, MA and sisters in-law Mary E. Lynch of Lowell, MA; Irene Connolly of Leominster, MA; Rita Ordway of Hilton Head, SC Carolina; brother-in-law Frances Connolly of Fitchburg, MA, and also the sister of the late Thomas G. Lynch and Peter H. Lynch and sister-in-law of the late Florence Lynch. Lorraine was a loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Golden Living Center and Hospice for their loving care.
