Lorraine Kenny, 63, of Peru, died Friday morning, Nov. 14, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru. Mrs. Kenny was born on Aug. 29, 1945, in LeMars, Iowa to Adolf and Regina (Harms) Oltmanns.
She was employed at Hobbs in Spring Valley, then as an over-the-road truck driver for a number of years, then in the Shipping Department at Badge-a-Minute. She married Michael Kenny on Oct. 29, 1983. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Peru, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by two sons Michael Harker of London, England, and Dale Gosnell, of LaSalle, her mother Regina Oltmanns, of LeMars, Iowa, 4 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Edwin (Evelyn) Oltmanns, of Des Moines, Iowa, Gerald (Shirley) Oltmanns of Sacramento, Cal., and Robert (Laurie) Oltmanns, of LeMars, Iowa; and 2 special family members, Richard Dick Tostovarsnik, and Carol Morris, caretaker and life long friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 24, 2001, her father, and one sister, Arlene Hughes.
