Lorraine Jaisle Jackson, 86, of Belton, TX graduated from this life into heaven on February 9, 2015.

Lorraine was born September 2, 1928 in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York to Howard and Mildred Jaisle, the third of three children. Lorraine graduated from Farmingdale High School, studied nursing in New York City and earned a bachelors degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota. Lorraine met Thomas Richard Jackson in 1957 while living and working in Ypsilanti, MI. The two were married in The First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale, LI, NY on January 18, 1958.

They began their life together in Ann Arbor, MI and then Lorraine and Tom moved to San Antonio, TX in 1959. Lorraine has been a Texan ever since. Lorraine is a cherished wife, mother and grandmother. Lorraine and Tom had three daughters and four grandchildren. Lorraine dearly loved her family and enjoyed every opportunity to cheer for her children and grandchildren. In addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, Lorraine worked as school nurse in the San Antonio Independent School District and as a rehabilitation nurse at Scott & White hospital in Temple, TX. Lorraine enjoyed many opportunities to volunteer in civic and church organizations.

She is remembered for always being kind, gracious, compassionate, and helpful and most loving to all with whom she encountered. Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Richard Jackson, her parents, Howard and Mildred Jaisle, her sister Esther Nelson, brother Richard Jaisle and son-in-law Tom Fain.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Leslie Fain of Houston, daughters and sons-in-law Lenore and Mike Burt of Belton and Tricia and Sam Holmes of Plano, grandchildren Christopher Fain and his wife Amy of Beaumont, David Fain of Houston, Sheryl Burt of Dallas and Kyle Burt of Belton. She has many surviving nieces and nephews.
