Lorraine G. Kehoe, 91, of Union Pier, Michigan died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Jordan’s Life Care Center in Bridgman, Michigan.
Lorraine was born July 12, 1921 in Chicago to John and Clara (Damptz) Pionke. On September 27, 1941 she married James M. Kehoe Sr. in Chicago. They made their home in Union Pier, Michigan. Lorraine was employed as a clerk at the South Shore Credit Union. She had plentiful energy, caring for her home, her nine children, tending her garden, and welcoming the neighbor kids. Lorraine enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, embroidery and needlepoint.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Three Oaks. Survivors include her children, James M. (Linda) Kehoe Jr of Galien; Katheen (James) Ziska of Berrien Springs, Michigan; Maureen (Walter) Wover of Darien, Illinois; Lawrence (Ada) Kehoe of LaPorte, Indiana; Michael (Kathleen) Kehoe of Michigan City, Indiana; Janice (John) Kenna of Union Pier; Brian Kehoe of Lakeside, Michigan; Robert (Estela) Kehoe of New Buffalo, Michigan and Gayl (J.C.) German, of Three Oaks; 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and sisters Frances Lesser of Harbert, Michigan; Geraldine Vavra of Three Oaks and Rose Marie Druffel of Union Pier, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim on June 20, 2007.
