Lorraine Faye (Bacon) Carmean, 85, of Leonore, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa. Mrs. Carmean was born June 30, 1934, in Farm Ridge to Herbert and Hattie (Keyes) Bacon.
She was a graduate of Streator High School. She married Ralph L. Carmean Jr. on July 16, 1953, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Sunbury Township, Blackstone, Illinois. Mrs. Carmean was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Leonore. She was a homemaker and enjoyed embroidery, basket weaving, and baking.
Survivors include five children, Gary D. Carmean of Leonore, Diana (Doc) Schorn-Winkler of Lostant, Randall S. (Kathryn) Carmean of Tonica, and Herb Carmean and Mark (Michelle) Carmean both of Leonore; eight grandchildren, Kira Carmean Pfeffinger, Damon and Dena Schorn, Gary Carmean Jr., Katie, Shannon, Megan, and Mathew Carmean; one great-granddaughter, Kalycia Caroline-Faye Pfeffinger and one brother, Hubert (Judy) Bacon of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph on March 8, 2017; a son-in-law, Donald Schorn; her parents; her sister, Marily Tarr and two brothers, Herbert and James Bacon.
