Lorraine Elizabeth Phillips, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at her home in Sharpsburg, Georgia. Lorraine was born January 24, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Clifford Peaker and Ruth Theresa Maxwell Peaker.

Lorraine worked in the retail flower business for many years and was an avid horticulturist who not only loved plants and flowers but was known for her green thumb as well. Lorraine was a woman of strong faith and an active member of St. George Catholic Church, where she volunteered in many church ministries including ESL, Faith Formation and Adoration. Always on the go and ready to have fun, Lorraine never met a stranger.

She was a social butterfly who spread joy everywhere she went. She was a devoted friend to many and enjoyed her time at the St. George Over 50 Club and the Tommy Thompson Senior Center. She loved reading, sewing, shopping, and animals of all sorts. Lorraine’s greatest love was her family, most especially her grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Paul Phillips, her daughter-in-law Claudine Phillips, and her four grandchildren: Lauren Phillips, Isabella Phillips, Laila Phillips, and Carina Phillips.
