Lorraine Elizabeth Jedwabny, age 59, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, after a brief but brave battle with cancer. She was at home with her daughters, Claire and Rebecca, at her bedside.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. Jedwabny, Jr. and the late Lorraine Elizabeth (Moyer) Jedwabny.
Always the caretaker, Lorraine began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and then spent many years as a press operator for R.R. Donnelly & Sons in Quakertown. Her true loves were going on adventures with her grandchildren, kayaking at Lake Nockamixon with her sister, riding on the back of a Harley-Davidson through winding, country roads, and spending time with friends at the VFW Forrest Lodge Post #245 in Sellersville, PA. When she wasn’t planting marigolds and cherry tomatoes, she could be found reading a book, cooking a delicious meal, making memories with her daughters and granddaughters in New York City, and decorating for Halloween even when it wasn’t October. She had a big love for animals, especially Mastiffs and her two sweet cats, Chloe and Punky, whom she rescued as a stray.
Lorraine was also known as Mom Mom L to her grandchildren and as Rainy by her dearest friends. The love she had for her children was infinite and palpable, and they never stopped calling her Mommy, even throughout their adult years. Her hair was curly and beautiful, her humor was sometimes inappropriate, and her heart was big. She will be deeply missed.
Lorraine is survived by her five children: Claire Choi-Rotenberger (Mark) of Quakertown, PA; Rebecca Payne (Stephen) of Brooklyn, NY; Daniel Choi (Christine) of South Bend, IN; Lora Brant of PA; and Mike Brant, Jr. of PA. She is also survived by one sister: Idella M. Jedwabny (Bruce) of Lansdale, PA; one brother: Walter A. Jedwabny of PA; and several grandchildren: Ty’Lain, Mathyn, Zyrena, Azeryn, Kylynn, Kamoree, Kaleena, Carson, and Carter. She is predeceased by her son-in-law, Charlie Payne, whom she loved very much.
