Lorraine Mary Hayden (Cookie) passed away on June 2, 2022. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y. to John J. and Mary Cotters on December 31, 1924.She was a devoted wife to George S. Hayden for 58 years .He predeceased her on March 7, 2001.

She graduated from St. Mary’s Parochial School and Yonkers High School. She was a parishioner of St. Eugenes RC Church, Yonkers, NY and St. Justin The Martyr RC Church, Toms River, NJ.

Lorraine worked for Burroughs Wellcome of Tuckahoe, NY for 14 years and the New York Telephone Company , White Plains, NY for 18 years. She retired from New York Telephone Company in 1987. She was a volunteer for Consumer Reports, Yonkers, NY for 4 years. She loved it there as she enjoyed working with the young people.

She was predeceased by Five sisters: Catherine Skidgell, Rita Halaychek, Agnes Owens, Veronica Cannizzaro, and Elaine Salvatore. Three brothers: John J. Cotters, Edmund F. Cotters and Baby Frances Thomas Cotters. Her Son-In-Law Robert L. Gould and Grandson William J. Gould.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl L. Gould, Toms River, NJ; a son George S. Hayden and his wife Sharon , Danbury, CT; five Grand Children: Robert Gould, Barbara Gould & Fiancé Barry Koehl, Barry Gould, Lance Hayden and Tara Hayden. A Step Grandson, Christopher D’Ambrosio. Six Great Grandchildren:  Kyle & Alexandra Harbet, Kaitlyn Gould, Skyler & Lenore Hayden and Jacob Kane. Also, many Nieces and Nephews.

Lorraine moved to Toms River NJ in 2006 to live with her daughter Cheryl  and her husband Robert Gould. She became a parishioner of St. Justin The Martyr RC Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She loved the Priests and Deacons and all the many friends she made there.
