Lorraine Carr Boston , 93 of Richmond, VA. formerly of Grafton, passed away  June 23, 2018, North Prince George, VA. She was born March 9, 1924 in TN. daughter of the late William Marvin and Eula Mae Carr. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Boston, November 30, 1992.

Lorraine was the second oldest of twelve children, after attending school in TN. she moved to Wheeling, WV with her aunt, Sally Branham and found work which later  took her to Grafton, WV., In Grafton, she later met and married Charles B. Boston, and from this union one child, a daughter, Mary Ann Boston Cooke was born. Lorraine devoted her life to her late husband and their families. Charles was also from a large family, being one of seventeen children.

She was always a spiritual person and was a long-time member of the Warren United Methodist Church in Grafton, WV.,  and after dedicating her life she was baptized as one of Jehvoah” Witnesses in November of 2011 and became a member of the Prince George Virginia Congregation where she found so much joy in preaching the “Good News of God’s Kingdom” and was an inspiration to many as she served Jehovah God unselfishly, giving whole-souled support to the congregation.

Lorraine was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She preceded in death by her parents,  husband, one granddaughter Cecile J. “Toy” Cooke Thompson, one great-grandson, Colby Randall Jackson; three brothers, Will Carr, Grady Carr, Thomas Carr;  four sisters, Mary Morton, Louise Bies, Susie Bowman and Betty Carr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughter, Mary Ann Cooke and husband Edwin, three grandchildren, Lisa Marie Cooke Jackson, Edwin D. Cooke, III and Charles D. J. W.  Cooke (Kate); three great-grandsons, Anthony (T.J.) Thompson (Ingrid); Stephen Jackson (Shannon) and Craig Cooke; and four great-great-great-grandsons,  Christopher, Sean, Michael, and Victor Thompson; three sisters, Rossie Hawkins, Frances Spain and Dorothy Powell; one brother, Charles Carr and a host of loving nieces , nephews, cousins and close family and special friends.
