Lorraine entered this world on March 4, 1933 in Arpin, WI presenting herself to Harry and Catherine (Ziegler) Schalau.  Lorraine attended a small country one room school until going to Pittsville High School graduating with honors.  Besides helping her parents on the family farm, her first job was a waitress at Art’s Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids in 1951.  Lorraine decided there was more opportunity out there and began working for Wood County, starting out in the courthouse as a clerk, then treasurer, and then transferring to the highway department as a bookkeeper/secretary for 44 years retiring in 1995.  During this time, Lorraine married Alfred J. Krueger.  They were blessed with two sons, Gerri and Michael.  After retirement, she worked for the Town of Hansen as the treasurer for 18 years.  Lorraine enjoyed working with figures, meeting people, and volunteering with various church groups.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Gerri (Carole) of Suamico, WI and Michael (Maria) of Arpin; grandchildren: Nicolaus Krueger, Ryan (Kelly) Krueger, Katie (Jeffery) Vandenorth, Isela Blossfield, Abby Krueger (Isaac Bowe), Raymond Blossfield, and Drake Blossfield; great  grandchildren: Brock Krueger (Nicolaus) and Brynn Krueger (Ryan & Kelly).
