Lorna Irene Faber, age 85, of Salem, Ohio died at 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, following a lengthy illness. She was born December 12, 1926 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lorna M. (Dietz) Helmick. Mrs. Faber was a 1945 graduate of Salem High School and was a member of the First Christian Church, Church Women’s Fellowship and Columbiana County Home Extension. Her husband, H. Robert Faber, Sr., whom she married July 21, 1951, preceded her in death December 14, 1968. Her brothers, Richard and William Helmick also preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Howard Robert (Linda) Faber, Jr. of Salem, John D. (Ester) Faber of Vienna, Virginia and Steven M. Faber of Salem; a daughter, Lorna Kathleen Faber of Salem; and one grandchild.
