Loris June Witz Creed, 91, of Anderson, passed away on September 20, 2012 at Saint John’s Health System after an extended illness. She was born June 29, 1921 in Shelby County, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson. She was a graduate of Waldron High School and Ball State University. Mrs. Creed retired as a school teacher from Lapel High School and Madison Heights High School after 36 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; was the class sponsor of Lapel High School in 1956 and 1957; and a member of the Indiana State Teacher’s Association.
Loris is survived by a special niece, Susan Denman of Osceola, Indiana, special nephew, Lavane Judy Creed of Brownsburg, Indiana; several other nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Sue Witz. She was preceded in death by husband, Billy Creed in 1995; mother, Maude Miller Witz; father, John Alfred Witz; and brother, Carol Joseph Witz.
