Loris Jean Gordon

The daughter of the late William French, Sr. and Gustavia Walker-French, Loris was born July 1, 1950 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 15, 2022.

Loris was born and raised in Idabel, Oklahoma. She later married and moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma. There, she received her C.N.A. license and worked for different home health agencies.  Loris had a heart for caring for the elderly and loved helping those in need.  Loris was of the Baptist faith and operated in her gifts of prayer and hospitality until the day of her transition. 

Loris is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Bob and Lillian French, three brothers, Henry, William Jr. and Ray French and sister, Alnetia Walker. 

Leaving to cherish her legacy are her daughters, Michelle Johnson, Sandy Brown, Tammie Cooper and Robbie Miller (Mikel), all of Atlanta, GA and son, Shelby Gordon (Shahna) of OKC, OK.  She also leaves her siblings, twin sister, Doris Clark, of Idabel; Alice King, OKC; Flora Franks and Virginia Lawton (Harold), all of Ardmore, OK;  brothers, Bryant French and Nathaniel Watson, both of Ardmore; two aunts, Esterlene Butler and Joyce Giddens and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Home Going services for Loris Jean Gordon, 71, will be 11:00 a.m., February 22, 2022 at the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with Pastor Joseph Thomas officiating.
