Norwich – Loretta Sue (Schlough) Sands, 48, former wife of the late Clay E. Sands, Sr. of Taftville-Occum Rd. died Thursday morning at Crossings East Health and Rehabilitation Center in New London. Born in Norwich she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Jean A. (Turley) Schlough.
Mrs. Sands was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy, and was employed as a Phlebotomist at the William W. Backus Hospital.
Surviving are her two sons Clay E. Sands, Jr. of Griswold and Calvin J. Sands of Taftville; a brother Arthur C. Schlough of Norwich and four sisters Kathryn Pollard of Gulfport, FL, Patricia Fedorshak of Griswold, Deborah Fargo of Bozrah, and Sandra Schlough of Norwich.
