WINSTED – Loretta Oliveri, 81, passed away on January 20, 2020. She was the loving wife of George Oliveri for 35 years. Born June 20, 1938 in Winsted; the daughter of the late John and Marie (Simonetti) Cordano. Loretta was very active in Four Square Church in Torrington where she was a member, volunteered, taught Sunday school and attended bible study. She was a giving person and donated to many charities. She was a Community Training Home Provider for The Department of Developmental Services for the State of CT for over 40 years. She opened her heart and home to many people with development disabilities. She shared a special bond and was caregiver for Joseph Palmer who was like a son to her. Her greatest love in life were her children and grandchildren and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Michele Palmer-Hester of Torrington; a son, Robert Palmer of Winsted; and grandchildren, Ashley Hester, Matthew Palmer, Jordan Palmer, Meghan Palmer, Kaysie Palmer, Bella Palmer and Raymond Neshko. She was predeceased by a son, John Palmer; sister, Marjorie “Dolly” Cordano and her sister, Kathleen Dubois passed away the day after Loretta.
