Loretta Mildred Myres Burdett, age 74, of Rensselaer passed away on January 31, 2013, at the Rensselaer Care Center. Loretta was born in Chicago, Ill. on August 25, 1938, the daughter of Orval K. and Dora E. (Pass) Myres.
Loretta was raised in Fair Oaks and was a 1957 graduate of Fair Oaks High School. She moved into Rensselaer in 1965, also having lived in California. Loretta was a waitress for over 20 years at Dora’s Corner Grill and Trail Tree Restaurant in Rensselaer. Loretta loved being around people and greeted all of her customers will her beautiful smile and her wit. She was a past member of the Rensselaer Moose Lodge and the Heave ‘n Hope Bowling League in Rensselaer. Loretta enjoyed time spent with her loving family.
Surviving are two daughters, Lori (Tom) Aichner, Rensselaer, and Elizabeth “Shelly” Burdett, Cleveland, TN; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, William L. Myres, Rensselaer, five sisters, Donna (Mark) Steffy, Lander, Wyoming, Sharron (James) Reed, Temecula, California, Lonna “Junie” Cox, Havana, Florida, Kay Smith, Rensselaer and Patsy (Jerry) Hale, Rensselaer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Pearl and Mae.
