Loretta L. Powell, 89, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born March 28, 1921 in Monette, Arkansas to Elzy and Elizabeth Needham. Loretta was a homemaker and a member of the Ingalls Church of God.
She is survived by children: Rita (Frank) Goode of Lapel; Robert (Joyce) Powell of Ingalls, Cecil (Kathy) Powell of Rushville, David Powell of Ingalls, Vernie (Darlene) Powell of Ingalls, Phillip (Raeann) Powell of Ingalls and Ronnie (Brenda) Powell of Fortville; 32 grandchildren and 72 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernie Powell; parents; sons: Danny and Kevin; daughter: Marilyn Ledger; granddaughter Sherry Allgood; two brothers; and five sisters.
