Loretta June Lambert, age 70, passed away on July 25th, 2010 after a hard fought battle with Polymyocitis, starting in 1997. Loretta was born to Bill and Edna Davis in Santa Ana, CA on March 29, 1940.
Her parents were citrus ranchers for many years. Her first years of school were in Orange County and from 5th grade on was in Hemet, CA. When Loretta was just a young girl, she sang in a night club band with her parents. She even recorded a record, and sang on the radio. She was very talented.
She was married and had her son David Johnson and had her daughter Cindy Johnson Landon. For many years she and her husband owned numerous motorcycle retail stores, then eventually they founded, and for many years she co-owned and operated the now very successful world wide company K&N Engineering/Air filters.
In 1974 she married her best friend, soul mate, and love of her life, Paul Lambert, and they moved to Kalispell, MT in 1977. They were married 30 years at the time of Paul’s passing in 2004. Before moving to Montana she spent many years traveling all over with husband Paul and son David, watching and supporting their motorcycle racing careers, and loving every single minute of it!
Loretta began selling Avon in 1979 and continued selling for 31 years up until her passing. She also worked at Herberger’s for 5 years as Department Head in the petite department. She retired from Herberger’s in 1997 when she became ill.
Loretta spent many years involved with the Creston Fire Department and the annual Creston Auction. She loved those years. She and Paul also spent many years bowling on leagues together. She was a very good bowler.
Loretta was a HUGE racing fan and lived to watch all kinds of racing on television. Motorcycle dirt tracks, motocross, road racing, and off road trucks. Her FAVORITE BY FAR was all of the NASCAR series racing. She watched anything and everything NASCAR. She did also enjoy watching other sports like skateboard events, PBA and women’s bowling, Pro football and Pro basketball as well.
Loretta’s family meant everything to her and she lived for each and every one of them. She always felt truly blessed with ALL of her friends. She had so many loving and supportive friends that helped her in so many ways, and for so many years. She truly loved you all! Her family would like to give special thanks to all of you as well, we don’t know what we would have done without you. Thank you!
We would also like to give thanks to the following people who took such good care of Loretta for many years: Dr. Doug Nelson, Dr. Roth, Dr. Pistorisi, Dr. Madsen, Dr. Ronald. Also all the wonderful men and woman at Kalispell Regional Medical Center and Immanuel Lutheran Home for your wonderful care through her many trips there.
We would like to give the biggest thanks of all to Dr. Bernadette Van Belois. You have been there with us from the very beginning. You were the one doctor who was able to diagnose her when nobody else could, and your constant and non stop efforts to keep her alive for the last 14 years is more appreciated than you will ever know. All of us, especially Loretta, have always considered you more like family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done for her, and for not only being her doctor but loving her as your dear friend. You are an amazing doctor and an exceptional woman.
Loretta was such an unbelievably kind, loving and thoughtful person. Even after she became ill and rarely left her house, she always found ways to do thoughtful things for others. She was such a giver. She will be TRULY missed and never forgotten!
