Loretta D. Bikowski, age 86, of Rudolph, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI.

Loretta was born July 9, 1935 in Rudolph, WI to Joseph and Katherine (Demski) Lang.  She attended Rudolph High School and worked as a medical transcriptionist at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point before becoming a full-time mother.  She was also employed at Ore-Ida Foods in Plover until retirement. She married Albert Bikowski on April 7, 1956 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Rudolph.  She was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Stevens Point (Mill Creek). They were blessed with 61 years of marriage.  Albert preceded her in death on October 19, 2017.

Loretta cherished time with her family, especially at holidays.  She enjoyed living on a farm her entire life and loved gardening, cooking, and baking and was well known for her chocolate chip cookies.  There was always room for one more at the table at Loretta’s house.  Loretta was skilled at handiwork, especially sewing, quilting and crocheting, and was once called the Picasso of the crochet hook for her beautiful doilies.   Loretta was known for putting everyone else’s needs before her own.  In her own words, she had a beautiful family and a beautiful life.

Loretta is survived by her children: Raymond (Jean) Bikowski, Joan Bikowski, and Dale Bikowski all of Wisconsin Rapids, Daniel Bikowski of Zurich, Switzerland, Julie Weigel (Jim Stensberg) of Stevens Point, Janet Korslin of Rudolph, and Jeanie (Sean) Woods of Fernandina Beach, FL; grandchildren: Nathan Bikowski (Gail Robinson), Corinne Korslin, William Woods, and Jordan Woods; great-grandchildren: Trevor, Kaydance, and Jace; sister-in-law, Pat Lang; and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bikowski; son William Bikowski, grandson Jason Bikowski and son-in-law, Todd Korslin; and siblings: Esther Wanserski, Marie Kirschling, Fred Lang, George Lang, Kay Beaster, Paul Lang, Mildred Szymanski, Tom Lang, Christine Bushmaker, Lawrence Lang, and Charlotte Burant.

The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff in the IMC/ICU at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital for all the care given to Loretta.
